Public consultation on Folkestone Harbour plans to be held in New Year

A PUBLIC consultation of the Folkestone harbour developments is to be held in the New Year, organisers have announced.

The Folkestone Harbour Company has made several presentations to Shepway District and Folkestone Town Councils as well as local businesses in recent weeks about plans to develop the seafront.

It is expected some minor alterations will have been made to the original masterplan unveiled in 2006 by world-renowned architects Foster and Partners.

The latest plans feature designs by top British architect Sir Terry Farrell.

In a statement released this week, it has been suggested that the plans may be more modest than first thought when the masterplan was revealed three years ago.
