Kent's latest unemployment figures were released on Friday. Overall Kent had a slightly better month in October with the number of unemployed falling slightly in the county.
In Ashford there was better news with 31 more people finding new jobs to bring the Ashford unemployed total to 1977.
In Shepway there were an extra 48 people losing work to bring the Shepway total to 2439 .
I'm afraid that Dover fared the worst though with an increase of 99 making the total of those without work in Dover 2248.
Overall in our region of South East Kent the total number of unemployed in October was 6664
