Middle class need aspirational Britain

Ed Miliband’s claim that the Labour Party can help the middle class has been derided as “laughable” by Nigel Farage

“Labour’s claim to look after the interests of the middle class is laughable from Ed Miliband. Under the government that he was a part of, taxes went up and those with ambition and the desire to better themselves were constantly looked down upon.
“The type of aspirational country Britain needs to be is one with grammar schools, lower taxes across the board and a government absolutely determined to take an axe to the type of red tape that stifles small and medium sized enterprises.

“The Coaliton government are no better, lowering the threshold for the 40p tax rate, dragging many more into a tax rate previously reserved only for those very well off.

“It is UKIP championing an aspirational Britain. We want to see a productive economy with thriving businesses and lots more people becoming better off. This is possible, but certainly not whilst overseen by Labour’s big state, meddling mantra.”
